Synopsis: The Sharp Wits tackle THE CASE OF THE RUNAWAY SENTENCE by helping Gator with his homework. Gator’s assignment is to write sentences using two or more spelling words per sentence. The challenge is he’s not allowed to start any of his sentences with the words “the”, “a” or “an”. Working together they review the basic parts of a sentence and discover how to correct three common errors in sentence writing: sentence fragments, run-on sentences and rambling sentences. |
