Synopsis: Would you like to start the school day two hours later? Sleeping-in is something many of us would love to do. In this program, the Sharp Wits decide to tackle the tricky task of convincing their principal that a late start is a good thing. To accomplish this goal, the Wits get to work solving the mystery of the persuasive paragraph. During the course of this exploration, the Wits learn that persuasive writing is more involved than “just having an opinion.” Working together cooperatively, the Sharp Wits brainstorm ideas, dig up supporting facts, and draft a convincing persuasive paragraph. |
