THE SHARP

IN

THE CASE OF WHICH LETTER TO WRITE:

FRIENDLY OR BUSINESS

Synopsis:  Make way for Tracks, another member of the infamous Sharp Wits Detective Club, as she tries to roller coaster her way into the record books.  Unfortunately, our ace private eye needs some information but doesn’t quite know how to get it.  Sounds like another case for the Sharp Wits.  In THE CASE OF WHICH LETTER TO WRITE the Sharp Wits discover the difference between a friendly letter and a business letter.  By comparing a business letter to a friendly letter they uncover the individual parts:  the heading, inside address, salutation, body, closing and signature.  In their search for the difference they also discover the three main reasons why you would write a business letter: a letter of request, a letter of complaint or a letter to an editor.  They learn when corresponding with someone who is not a friend or relative that a business letter will help you obtain a better response.  The Sharp Wits also review the steps of writing and use them to write a better letter.
