Follow-up Activity

Have each student search their home looking for items that list a metric unit of measure. Each student needs to list the items they find and record what metric unit of measure was used. They earn one point for each item that they find. They can earn additional bonus points if they bring in a sample that lists a unit of measure that begins with the following prefixes: Deci, Centi, Hecto or Deka.
